Appeal After Criminal Damage To Vans Parked In Shanklin

Police are investigating recent reports of criminal damage to vans parked in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight.

A Mercedes van parked in Howard Road had two of its tyres slashed sometime between 6pm on Thursday, April 7 and 8am on Friday, April 8, 2011.

A Ford Transit van, which was also parked in Howard Road, had three of its tyres slashed sometime between 10.30pm on Friday, April 1 and 9am on Sunday, April 3, 2011.

House-to-house enquiries
Police are continuing to carry out house-to-house enquiries in the local community and increase patrols in the Howard Road area.

Officers are keen to hear from witnesses and anybody who may have noticed people acting suspiciously in the Howard Road area of Shanklin or who has information about possible suspects.
