Despite losing the Hampshire cup final 3-0 to Sholing Youth, Newport under 13s have had a very successful season.
The team held its annual awards at the Bargeman’s Rest last week.
Winning trophies from the season were on display, including the League Championship Trophy, the League Cup Trophy, the ESF Butlins Tournament Fair Play Award and Newport FC Secretary’s Award for Outstanding Achievements this season.
The award winners on the night was.
Top goalscorer : Jaik Holton (40 Goals)
Most improved : Harry Cheek
Clubman : Jack Turner
Supporters Award : Jacob Jarvis
Players Award : Ryan Hughes
Managers Award : Ben Timbrell
Manager Stuart Simmonds thanked the parents, assistant, Marc Sheerin and coach, Graham Snow, for their help during the season.
Stuart also said had the team lifted the Hampshire cup, then he would have given all the players the Manager’s Award.
