Britten-Norman Aircraft Preservation Society launch new prints at exhibition

Thanks to Bob for sharing details of this upcoming event. We’re sure there are many of you who’ll be interested in popping along on the day. Ed

Renowned local aviation artist Ivan Berryman, in association with the Britten-Norman Aircraft Preservation Society, will launch two new prints (Saturday 10 November 2012) that capture the early days of aviation at Bembridge when the Britten-Norman BN-1F aircraft was built and flown over 60 years ago.

Peter Gatrell, who took up employment with John Britten and Desmond Norman in January 1950 and built the wood structure of the BN-1F, will be on hand to sign BN-1F prints sold on the day. Orders will also be taken for purchase of framed prints.

Also on show will be an exhibition of framed prints by Ivan Berryman depicting the Britten Norman Company’s aircraft designs in a variety of operating scenarios.

In addition there will be an opportunity to purchase BNAPS books and memorabilia that will help raise funds to support the project to restore B-N Islander G-AVCN.

When you come along, enjoy a drink, lunch and a warm welcome at the Propeller Inn. The event is free and all are welcome to attend.
