Child writing:

Budding writers invited to join new Young Writers project

Thanks to Jess for sharing details of these upcoming workshops. Ed

Our new Young Writers project gives budding writers aged 16-25 years the opportunity to gain advice, support and feedback on their work.

Funded by Arts Council England, Young Writers is held every Saturday morning in Newport.

Different focus each week
Each session will focus on a different topic including flash fiction, micro fiction, writing poetry, starting a blog, performing your work, planning a novel, getting published and pitching to magazines.

Sessions will be led by Amy Mackelden, a writer and blogger who has written for Heat magazine, and Websites like Hello Giggles and Bustle.

Writers are encouraged to contribute pieces to our blog throughout the project, and there will be the opportunity to have their work featured in a published anthology.

Where and when
The Young Writers project starts on Saturday 6th February from 10am – 12pm at Starbucks in Newport.

See Events OnTheWight for details.
