We’ve now seen the full Isle of Wight council cut proposals which have just been outlined in preparation of the December Cabinet Meeting.
Here’s what they say about the Visitor Attractions …
In determining to reduce the number of assets that the Council directly manages both Ventnor Botanical Gardens, and Dinosaur Isle require serious consideration.
It is therefore proposed that we proceed with finding ways to encourage alternative providers of these assets with a reducing subsidy from the council over the next two years realising a saving of £82,000 in 2011/12 and £325,000 in a full year (2012/13).
