Carisbrooke College students raise £500 for Isle of Wight brain tumour charity

On Friday 17th December 2021, one hundred Carisbrooke College students across the Year 7 – 11 age range, along with staff, completed a 2km Santa Dash from school to Carisbrooke Castle and back.

Students all paid a £5 donation to the Wight Brainy Bunch charity to take part and were rewarded with Santa hats to wear, and hot chocolate on the finish line.

Peake: Really proud of how willing they always are to support local charities
Mike Peake, lead for behaviour and safety at the school said,

“The students were an absolute pleasure and it was obvious to see how much they enjoyed themselves!

“I am really proud of how willing they always are to support local charities and this is one that is close to many of our hearts.”

What is the Wight Brainy Bunch?
The Wight Brainy Bunch is a small charity on the Isle of Wight providing a support network and financial assistance to local families affected by brain tumours.
