Congratulations to Bembridge fine-artist, Charlotte Hodge Thomas, who tells us that she has just been named a finalist in the Aesthetica Creative Works Competition 2010.
VB readers will be aware of Charlotte’s work, which we’ve featured over the years.
Background on competition
The competition is an annual event organised by ‘Aesthetica’, The Art & Culture Magazine, an international publication.
The competition encourages artists and writers from around the world to enter any of three categories; Art & Photography, Poetry or Fiction. Aesthetica magazine celebrates innovation and creativity, and this year’s competition was particularly fierce with 4,000 writers and artists entering.
To be a finalist in this competition is a fantastic achievement and Charlotte was delighted when she heard she’d been selected as a finalist in the Artwork & Photography category, for her acrylic painting entitled ‘Long Ledge Dawn’ (below).
Work on display in Seaview
Charlotte’s finalist selected painting, ‘Long Ledge Dawn’, is currently on display at Seaview Art Gallery, in a special Christmas exhibition. The exhibition features 10 original paintings by Charlotte Hodge Thomas.
Charlotte will be at the gallery on the morning of Saturday 11th December to discuss her work in person.
