Readers may remember the excellent photo of the Isle of Wight posted to Twitter by Chris Hadfield, Commander of Expedition 35 on the International Space Station back in March.
We, like many others on the Island and across the globe, have been captivated by Cmdr Hadfield’s tweets and videos from space. He surely must go down as the single most important person for the promotion of space missions for decades.
On Saturday 12th May, the Canadian Astronaut handed over control of the space station to Pavel Vinogradov, Commander of Expedition 36.
As he came to end of his mission, (he flies back to Earth tonight) Cmdr Hadfield recorded a music video of his version of Space Oddity by David Bowie (see below).
We love it and couldn’t help welling up when watching it. We’re sure you’ll agree it’s out of this world!
Thanks to everyone who sent us Cmdr Hadfield’s video.
