In a reply to questions around the resignation of Cllr Gordon Kendall from the Executive of the Independent-run administration at Isle of Wight council, officially confirmed today, Cllr Bacon has revealed he’d been planning to review the make-up of the council’s policy-making body.
Cllr Jonathan Bacon says he won’t be “making a snap decision” on it, but, once the Budget is voted upon on Wednesday, he “will deal with the Executive restructure.”
The statement
Cllr Bacon told OnTheWight,
“As to the membership of the Executive, I will be looking at this over the next few days.
“I was planning to reconsider the structure of the Executive in any event following the budget taking account of the proposed new senior management structure that is forthcoming within the Council.
“Gordon’s brief included important elements which need to be properly managed as we go forward so I will not be making a snap decision.
“My primary concern for the next 48 hours will be the Budget which will be voted upon on Wednesday night. After that I will deal with the Executive restructure.”
