Desire Lines – A pathway created through cumulative desires to veer away from the given track or trail.
This exhibition created by pupils of Ryde School, working with Isle of Wight artist Tim Johnson, presents a new gallery installation and documentation of their recent project developing an area in the grounds of their school as a sustainable and creative education resource.
The landscape architect’s term ‘desire line’ aptly describes the creative journey of many artists and provides an appropriate point of departure for the pupils’ investigations.
A week prior to its opening, visitors are welcome to visit the gallery and view the artists’ work in progress.
