Discover Shademakers’ artistry: Get up close to the Jubilee costumes

Today and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday) there’s a chance to see the incredible Platinum Jubilee Pageant costumes created by the Ryde-based UK carnival club, Shademakers.

These amazing creations formed part of the Queen’s Pageant in 2022 for her Platinum Jubilee, bringing media attention from around the world to the Isle of Wight.

See the costumes up close
The brainchild of artistic director, Paul McLaren, and creative director, Sharon George, you’ll be able to get up close to wonder at the incredible craftmanship of the costumes.

It’s all made possible thanks to the hard work of the Shademakers team, which includes Martin Sheaff, Lily George, Amber Rose and Joe Plumb.
