Exceptional results have been achieved in some of the most demanding of A-Level subjects and two students are now heading to Oxford University.

Dylan Boyd (pictured) achieved four A* grades, in Maths, Further Maths, Music and Physics, he will study Physics at New College, Oxford. Jordan Strobach-Morris achieved four A* grades in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and an A grade in Music; he will study Physics and Philosophy at Baliol College in Oxford.

Edie Swain is off to study medicine at Nottingham University having achieved four A* grades in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and EPQ. Jamie King will also study medicine at Southampton University. Lewis Coulter is off to study Chemical Engineering at Birmingham University having achieved A* grades in Chemistry and Maths and an A grade in Biology.

The great tradition of Sandown’s Sporting success is continued by many students including Michael weeks and Bethany Howarth, off to Brunel and Exeter respectively with triple Distinction stars in BTEC Sports Studies.

Terrific results for Performing Arts with Rheanna Berryman taking centre stage having achieved three Distinction * grades in Dance and Performing Arts, Rheanna is off to Roehampton University to study Dance Studies.

She said,

“I loved my time at sixth form, the teachers were really supportive and pushed me to achieve better than I ever thought I could.”

Lily George achieved 3 Distinction* grades in Dance and Arts Management.

Chester Sampson gained Distinction* in Creative Media Production, and A grades in Fine Art and Graphic Communications. He will study Computer Animation at Bournemouth University and hopes to be an Animator for Disney or Pixar films in the future.

Georgia Sard is off to study Chinese at Soas School of Oriental and African Studies having achieved 4 A grades in History, Philosophy and Sociology. She looks forward to spending a year in China as part of her course.
