The number of unemployed claimants on the Isle of Wight continues to rise.
According to the Office for National Statistics, the number of unemployed claimants on the Island in February 2011, increased to 3,702.
The number of claimants is 111 lower than in February 2010 and 128 higher than in January 2010. These data are not seasonally adjusted.
This represents a rate of 6.1% of the economically active population aged 16 to 64, the 216th highest of the 650 UK constituencies.
