Get inspired with the latest round of creative arts and crafts workshops at Quay Arts

Autumn brings with it an exciting new term of creative arts and crafts workshops at Quay Arts, Newport.

And with Christmas around the corner, these courses are a chance to learn a new skill (or improve your skills) and make something special for someone special, this autumn.

New short courses for 2022
Join Claire Richards to create your own fabulous Raffia Bag over two Saturdays 1st and 8th October, 10am to 3pm, £100 (materials included).

Jewellery students can learn a wonderful new skill in the Enamelling Day workshop on Saturday 26th November with jeweller tutor Jennifer Cronin. The Workshop is 10am to 4pm and £80 (materials included).

Regular workshops
Monday is Life Drawing day with morning and afternoon classes suitable for all abilities with tutors offering advice and support (bring your own materials). 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1 to 3pm. £15 per session.

Our popular Kids Art sessions return – once a month on Sunday mornings 10am to 12pm for 8 to 12-year-olds. With a different activity each week, these sessions are run by professional artists and are a great way to encourage budding young artists.

Enjoyed the Great Pottery Throw Down?
Then have a go yourself at one of five regular Pottery sessions held weekly at Quay Arts’ bespoke pottery studio at Jubilee Stores studios on Newport Harbour. Each session has a slightly different focus and are led by skilled potters.

Get your sparkle on!
Also at Jubilee Stores is a fully equipped jewellery studio where we offer a range of jewellery workshops and a weekly Open Access session for jewellers with some experience to use the studio and tools.
