Guide to accessible voting in the UK: How to overcome barriers this July

Almost everyone in the UK over 18 has the right to vote in the upcoming general election on Thursday, 4th July 2024.

However, many people feel excluded or encounter obstacles such as transport issues, lack of information, language barriers, and the complexities of the voting process itself.

Overcoming voting barriers
The Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) have put together information for those with disabilities, helping them understand what is in place to support them.

You’ll find information about postal voting, proxy voting and more.

Don’t lose your chance to vote
Voting is a fundamental right, and with the right support, everyone can overcome the barriers that might prevent them from casting their vote.

Visit the Royal College of Occupational Therapists website to find out more.
