If you haven’t been to see Carinthia West’s photographic exhibition at Quay Arts yet, you have until the end of tomorrow to do so.
Hanging Out is a tongue-in-cheek, anecdotal exhibition featuring portraits of Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Neil Young, George Harrison, King Hussein of Jordan, and the Pink Floyd pig amongst others.
As a model, actress and ‘it-girl’ of the 1970s, (as well as the daughter of Michael and Christine West) Carinthia ‘hung out’ with some of the world’s most respected musicians and performers, taking photographs on her single reflex Canon camera, experimenting with different types of film.
Many of her subjects were also her close friends at the time, and include David Bowie, Dame Helen Mirren, Eric Idle, Carly Simon, James Taylor, to mention a few.
Make sure you check this out before it ends.
