Island Games: Guernsey Still In The Lead

Carisbrooke High School intern, Emily Ladd, gives us an update on the league table of medals at the NatWest Island Games. Ed

Day three of the Island Games was a success with seven new records being smashed and plenty of golds won, sending the medals table turning.

Who’s at the top?
Guernsey have managed to stay at the top spot, getting six more gold medals in one day, taking their gold medal count up to 20!

Isle of Man had very close results to the Isle of Wight team yesterday, but now they’ve overtaken with a total of 12 gold medals.

Will Team IW make a comeback?
Unfortunately the Isle of Wight dropped down to fourth place with 11 gold medals, having been literally outrun by the Isle of Man and Faroe Islands, will they make a comeback?

However, many finals are being held today and in the evening, this could change the tables once again.

Maybe the Isle of Wight can win more gold medals in the finals and bump back up to second place.
