Our reporting on this first started in July 2014 then OnTheWight reader Ronnie Tweeted:
I'm on Vodafone and keep getting 4g all over the island. It's blowing my mind! Still can't make a call though! #priorities

From those early days of amazement at the speeds she was getting – 24Mbps down and 12Mbps up – this kind of coverage has become more normal.
After report that the providers coverage maps weren’t very reliable, we have switched to data from Ofcom, the UK’s telecom regulator. We now split out expected outside and inside coverage maps.

The Island used to be pitiful with EE 4G coverage, have to just survive with what bled from the Mainland. Here’s an old EE coverage map as at 1 Aug 2014 to show you.

O2 didn’t make a make available and Three didn’t provide coverage.
