Isle of Wight cycle track incidents: Man charged with sexual assault

A man has been charged as part of an investigation into sexual assault and indecent exposure incidents on the Isle of Wight. 

Officers made an arrest as part of this investigation on Sunday 30th July. 

The 24-year-old, of Bernard Road, Cowes, has now been charged with two counts of indecent exposure and one count of sexual assault. 

Indecent exposure
One of the indecent exposure charges relates to an incident that took place on Saturday 1st July on a cycle track between Cowes and Stag Lane. 

Indecent exposure and sexual assault
The other indecent exposure charge and the sexual assault charge relates to an incident on Monday 26th June on the same cycle track.

It was reported that a man indecently exposed himself to two women before touching one of them. 

Court appearance
The man was remanded to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 1st August).
