Yes folks, more bands join the lineup for this year’s Isle of Wight Festival taking place in Seaclose Park, Newport on 10th-13th June.
Florence + The Machine
Strutting her stuff on the main stage on Friday before Jay-Z makes his entrance is the gorgeous Florence + the Machine.
Their first album Lungs was met with huge praise by critics. We expect for their outing to the Isle of Wight in June, Florence + the Machine will be packing some tracks from 2nd (yet unreleased) album which has been likened to ‘Siouxsie and the Banshees’ by producer Paul Epworth.
La Roux
Heading to the Big Top on Saturday night will be the synthpop duo, La Roux. They were named by The Guardian as one of the “Best New Acts of 2009” with a Mercury Prize nominated album as well as 2010 Brit Awards nominations.
N-Dubz
They’ll be joined in the Big Top on the same day by hip hop collective, N-Dubz.
With two MOBO Awards for ‘Best UK Act’ and ‘Best Album’ under their belts, the collective who have worked with the likes of Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk and JLS have recently been dubbed “voice of a generation.”
The Hold Steady
Finally another band from state side. Will they be sharing transport with Blondie or The Strokes?
Warming up the main stage on Saturday for the lovely Paloma Faith, with no sleep since Brooklyn, come The Hold Steady.
If you’re partial to a bit of the old classic rock with some monster riffs, then this is the band to check out.
