Whilst we’re on the subject of Island produce, this year’s Isle of Wight Honey Show is coming up next month.
Taking place at Arreton Community Centre on Saturday 5th November, the event runs between 2.30pm to 5pm and is completely free to enter.
This year has been a good year for honey and the Island beekeepers are hoping for a good entry in the classes for honey, beeswax, photography and cookery.
There will be plenty of beekeepers on hand to answer questions from anyone interested in keeping bees and suggesting the best way to go about it.
Entry is free and refreshments will be available.
