Isle of Wight Foodbank on the hunt for secret cake-maker

Every week 100s of generous people donate food to the Isle of Wight Foodbank. This can be done by dropping food off at the various collections points around the Island, including in several supermarkets.

The kind of items usually donated are tins and packets of non-perishable goods such as pasta, rice, toilet rolls, sugar etc.

However, one generous person has been baking cakes and donating each week and Isle of Wight Foodbank are keen to track this person down.

They’d like to personally thank this person and have reached out to social media for help, posting the following message in the hope of finding the secret cake-maker,

“Someone, somewhere is baking us some amazing cakes, wrapping them in tin foil and leaving them in various collection bins for us.

“We are so grateful!

“We would love to make contact with you…if you are the mysterious donor, or know who might be please put your hand up!
