It’s Great British Pie Week!

Did you know it was Great British Pie Week? Neither did we until VB reader, Seb, got in touch to let us know (thanks Seb). Ed

If you’re someone who enjoys traditional food then the Great British Pie Week Website may be what you’re looking for.

They’ve got hundreds of recipes available to aid you in creating the perfect pie and some freebies that you can get delivered directly to your door!

Great British Pie Week is upon us now and until the 13th March you have the chance to relish in it and make up as many excuses as possible to eat pie.

Who’s behind it?
The company that fund such a week, is none other than Jus-Rol who have been awarding champions of pie creations for the past few years.

This year’s winner is Craig Hennessey who came up with the creation of the Cumberland Tattie Pot, and Jus-Rol gives you the recipe to this and all of the other previous winners and their wacky, but delicious creations.

Ranging from Blue Cow Pie which has horn-like features protruding out of the pie, to more sweet pies such as Fudgy Apple Pies. Whatever it is that takes your interest, checking out the site is worth the visit.

Who knows, maybe you could be a British Pie Week 2012 winner?

Additionally, if you’re a professional chef or just a budding cook, the site gives you resources to numerous techniques depending on the type of pastry you want to use.
