Whilst we’re on the subject of real ales, readers might remember reading earlier in the week that the Yarbridge Inn was awarded IW CamRA Pub of the Year and Ventnor Brewery’s Ventnor Golden picked up Beer of the Year awards.

2nd Traveler’s Joy, Northwood
3rd The Volunteer, Ventnor
4th Solent Inn. Ryde
Beer of the Year 2008
1st Ventnor Golden, Ventnor Brewery
2nd Fuggle Dee Dum, Goddards
3rd Yule Be Sorry, Yates
and 4th award was presented to new head brewer Richard at Goddards fir their Special Bitter.
Congratulations to them all. Special mention to Yates Brewery also received the 2009 London and South East Regional Beer Award for Yule Be Sorry, their strong old ale.
