This Sunday, the popular MCC Promotions 10K Run Series makes its annual stop on the Isle of Wight with the Sandown and Shanklin 10K.
The event, known for its inclusive atmosphere, welcomes runners of all abilities to take part in the scenic seaside course.
Sign up and race details
For those interested in joining, entries will be accepted on the day. Runners can register between 9am and 9.45am at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, located on Yaverland Road, Sandown (PO36 8QB).
The race will start promptly at 10am. The entry fee is £19, payable at registration (see form below).
Seafront start and finish
The run begins and ends on the seafront, opposite the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, providing a picturesque route along the Isle of Wight’s coastline.
A detailed route map is available for runners who wish to familiarise themselves with the course in advance.
Parking and facilities
There is ample parking available for participants and spectators, with pay-and-display parking costing £3 for two hours.
Alternatively, free parking can be found in the surrounding area. Toilets are located on the seafront, within the car park, and a bag drop will be provided at the finish line, opposite the sanctuary.
