Kirstie Allsopp, of TV fame, popped over to the Isle of Wight on Tuesday to film for a new episode of her ‘Homemade’ programme with the Island residents, the Clark family.
Part of this involved Kirstie helping two of the family’s daughters, Daisy-May and Amy, make jewellery boxes (we’ve got a photo of them below). Much to everyone’s excitement, it happened at Carisbrooke CE Primary School.

The girls were able to pick two of their friends to help the sisters and take part in the TV programme too. Mark Richards, Deputy Headteacher at the school told VB that Kirstie joined in with making her own box, as well as teaching the children about how to make their own jewellery boxes.
Mark said, “It was wonderful to have the film crew in school for the day. Not only did the children have a great time making the boxes, but it allowed them to see how a TV programme was made. They all had a brilliant time!”
Grandmother born on the Island
In a Tweet on her account, Kirstie revealed that both her Grandmother and her sister were born on the Isle of Wight, saying on Twitter, “Today I am crafting on the Isle of Wight, birth place of my Granny and her sister, Cath Kidston’s Granny. #bizarrefact”
The programme is thought to be going to air in October of this year.
