Letter: The stench of sweet vapes: A plea for respectful behaviour on public transport

Sadly today I had to confront another person over their vaping on the bus (number 2) Rather than the usual teenager hiding that the back this was a middle aged woman on the front seat.

This is a regular occurrence. If you use buses regularly on the island you will regularly be expected to inhale the stench of someone else’s addiction. None of these people would light a cigarette yet seem to think vaping is a lesser inconvenience to others.

IT IS NOT.

Given the choice I think I would rather smell cigarettes than the foul sensory overwhelming stink of those sugary sweet vape flavours.

The longest bus journey is only an hour so why? Please don’t vape on public transport.

I will confront anyone that infects my right to breathe fresh air.
