Becoming  an MP who finally made it after years of trying and representing a constituency with a high percentage of pensioners, you should surely reflect on giving your vote to the recent Winter fuel decision by your government, despite it not featuring in the manifesto.

Obviously your principles were not strong enough to vote against or even abstain from the vote for fear of the consequences that inevitably come from defying the whip.

It’s a long way to the next election (unless something dramatic occurs) but you are already one vote down (at least).
