As part of the current ‘Make your Mark for 2012’ exhibition at Quay Arts, a ‘Make a medal’ drop-in family workshop takes place tomorrow (Saturday 8th September) The exhibition is a collaboration between ‘No Man is an Island’, Quay Arts and the Isle of Wight Branch of the National Autistic Society (NAS) to grow an exhibition and celebrate the London2012 Paralympics.
The exhibition will reflect on ‘No Man is an Island’s work during the Cultural Olympiad, with dedicated workshops for NAS families to collect images to be included in a commemorative textile work.
Speaking of the exhibition, Melanie Swan, No Man is an Island Project Manager said; “We want the work we achieved during the Cultural Olympiad to unfold during the Paralympic Games so we’re adding something new every day, including contributions from exhibition visitors through our interactive displays. We hope visitors will keep returning to enjoy the development of the ‘Make Your Mark for 2012’ collaborations.”
The free workshop runs from 2.00-3.30pm Saturday 8th September.
