In an astounding coincidence, Meg Mortimer (part of the team behind the Mill Bay, The Met, The Spyglass, etc) has resigned his position on the Ventnor Town council – on the eve of the meeting of the Planning Committee that will decide the fate of the proposed redevelopment of the Mill Bay.
We heard that no-one attending cried or even slightly sobbed.
He didn’t bother turning up to deliver the message, but did it via a brief hand written note. We understand that Meg will write in a full letter explaining all next week. Who knows what that will contain? Anyone want to make some suggestions? There’s be a prize of a portable digital music player for the closest one!
A casual vacancy has been created (don’t know if that means the candidate will need to wear a tracksuit when attending meetings) and will need to be filled soon. If the voting route fails, someone will need to be co-opted on.
