The Ventnor Library Quiz Night
On Friday 14th November at 7pm. Maximum of six per team. Don’t worry if you’ve not got enough friends/family to make up a team, we can always organise teams on the night.

Soft drinks and snacks will be provided by The Friends of Ventnor Library but you are very welcome to bring a bottle of something stronger if you wish.

Tickets are £2 per person. Drop into the library to pick one up or give us a ring during normal opening hours on 852039

Bonchurch Theatre Co
A rehearsed reading of their play BREATH by John Goodwin & James Willis. The story of Ventnor’s Victorian Consumption Hospital.

Takes place on Wednesday 19 November 8pm. This is a FREE event but you do need a ticket. Tickets are available from the library during usual library hours. For more details ring: 852039

Taken from an extract of a 1870’s patient’s diary at the Ventnor Royal National Hospital for the treatment of consumption. The play explores the friendship of the patient John Whiteley and a young fisherman/artist.

Can the young lad save John’s life?

The reading takes an hour and was a sell out hit at this year’s Ventnor Fringe Festival.

An evening with Graham Hurley
“SINS OF THE FATHER”- We have the author Graham Hurley coming to talk and introduce his latest book on Friday 28th November. Doors will open at 6.30 for a 7pm start.

The event is FREE but you will need to collect your tickets from the library or telephone 852039. Refreshments available.

Rhyme Time
Bring your babies and toddlers to the library for Rhyme Time. Babies love rhymes and songs and it’s good for them to.

It also helps children when they start to learn to read. Every Friday at the library from 11am to 11.30am.

Job Seekers drop- in sessions
If you’re a job seeker, come along on Thursdays between 9am to 12pm for help in finding work.

Do you have any children’s fancy dress, hats, accessories that you no longer need?

If so, we would love to have them for our new children’s dress up box.
