Many people on the Isle of Wight know the handy work of Anne Turner.
If you drive through Upper Ventnor, you can’t miss it, because she paints many huge, different scenes on the side of her house depending on what’s happening on the Island at the time.
In the Summer of 2007 she painted caricatures or Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, who were playing at the IW Festival.
Page 3 in the Metro
Her stirling work was recognised yesterday on page three of the Metro newspaper, no less.
They gave 2/3rds of the page to her, labelling her ‘Mum of Banksy’. Quite an honour.
