World Autism Awareness Day takes place on Saturday 2nd April this year.
Many events and activities will be taking place around the globe, as well as right here on the Isle of Wight.
15 year old Josh Peverley is a music-mad teenager from the Island who suffers from has autism. He’s a resourceful and enthusiastic lad who has managed to organise a live music and comedy night in aid of the National Autistic Society.
All money raised on the night will go towards an Island-based sensory toy library for those with autism.
The four bands playing live have been handpicked by Josh himself and include The Almighty Chancers, The Scores, Keri Highland and Arizona 81.
Comedian Dominic Pope will be hosting the evening and hopefully have you laughing between the music acts.
Grand prize draw
Not one to miss an opportunuty to raise as much cash as possible, Josh has ve also organised a Grand Prize Draw.
Prizes which will be presented on the night include a pair of Bestival tickets, a professional photoshoot, a family day out at Amazon World, a family day out at the Owl And Monkey Haven, a £25 voucher for Wight Outdoors, and loads more.
Where and when
The big night takes place at The Bugle Coaching Inn, Yarmouth on Saturday 2nd April between 7pm-12am.
