Choir singing at the Bus Museum

Newchurch Male Voice Choir raises hundreds for Isle of Wight Bus Museum

The queue of 60-70 passengers at the Isle of Wight Coach and Bus Museum on Sunday afternoon were surprised when the Newchurch Male Voice Choir came along.

Taking their seats in the Museum Depot they were entertained with a ‘fare’ of popular songs that were referenced to the years the Coaches and Busses in the Museum were in use.

Raising money for the Museum
The ‘conductor’ did a good job as the trip raised £262, which will help the Museum with its projects.

There were also increased sales in the Museum’s shop.

Cooper: It’s our pleasure to sing
Bob Cooper, for the Choir, said,

“Performing in the Museum Depot amongst these vehicles, that bring back so many memories, is another of the unusual places the Choir has sung in over the years, and it is our pleasure to do so.”

Next concert
For the Choir’s next concert, the Choir welcome the visiting Mynyddislwyn MVC from Blackwood, South Wales at St Paul’s Church, Shanklin on Saturday 27th August.
