One Wight, Two Wight? Share Your View With Government Minister Today

With only one week’s notice, and the meeting being held during the middle of a work day, it’s highly possible that the turnout for today’s visit to the Isle of Wight by Government Minister, Mark Harper may be restricted to retirees and the press.

One Wight, Two Wight? Share Your View With Gov Minister TodayThe meeting takes place at 12.30pm in the Hunnyhill Room of the Riverside Centre (Newport Quay).

All interested members of the public (not just those supporting OneWight) are invited to attend the meeting to share their views with Mark Harper on the subject of political representation for the Isle of Wight.

It’s unlikely he’ll return for a second visit, so if you want your views heard in person, you’ll need to make the effort to attend today.

Strong One Wight representation
Putting aside VB’s announcement of the meeting last Thursday, notice of the meeting was sent to those on the OneWight mailing list before it was ‘made public’ in the CP on Friday.

Many people have argued that not enough notice has been given for those working in full-time jobs to arrange time off and that the meeting should’ve been held in the evening.

VB will be in attendance and reporting back later today. Keep an eye on our Tweet stream and Facebook page for updates.
