Police are appealing for information during an investigation into a dog attacking another dog in a park at Wootton Bridge near Ryde on the Isle of Wight.
It’s reported a Jack Russell-cross dog was injured shortly after 3.30pm on Sunday, January 15, 2012.
Dog being walked by family
The Jack Russell was being walked in a park off Fernside Way at the time by an island man, aged in his 30s, who was with his wife and young son.
Investigating officer PC Liz Manning said: “Thankfully the family was not injured during these events, but have told police they were left upset and frightened.
“We’ve pursued several lines of enquiry since Monday (January 16) and this appeal is for more witnesses who may have noticed what happened in the park, or who know the identity of a man who was seen with the dog that’s accused of attacking the Jack Russell.
“We believe this man received a visible injury to one of his hands during these events in the park on Sunday afternoon.”
