Primary school admissions now open on Isle of Wight for next academic year

The Isle of Wight Council would like to remind parents they can now register their children for primary school admissions, for the September 2025 school term.

The admissions pages are now open (Monday 18th November 2024) and they will close at midnight on Wednesday 15th January 2025. Primary school place application can be done by visiting the website.

The National Offer Day, when parents are notified which primary school their children have a place at, will be on Wednesday 16th April 2025.

Admissions date was postponed
Councillor Jonathan Bacon, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services and Education said,

“The decision was made to postpone the date for primary school admissions this year to allow extra time to support school staff through the sensitivities of the school place planning process.

“We are pleased to say that parents can now register their children for a primary school place.”

Further information in school admissions can be found by visiting the Isle of Wight council’s website.
