Ofsted inspectors have published their latest findings for St Francis Catholic and Church of England Primary School in Ventnor.
The school was placed in special measures earlier this year, following an inspection in January.
An inspection held at the end of the summer term resulted in Inspectors concluding,
- Leaders and managers are taking effective action towards the removal of special measures.
- The local authority’s statement of action is fit for purpose.
- The school’s improvement plan is fit for purpose.
- The school may appoint newly qualified teachers before the next monitoring inspection following consultation with Her Majesty’s Inspector.
Since the inspection in January that led to the school being placed in Special Measures, three governors have left and four have joined the governing body.
