Public Consultation On Relocation Of Thompson House And Clatterford Tuition Centres

A Delegated Decision notice was issued today seeking approval for a public consultation on the relocation of Early Years, SEN and other statutory provision at Thompson House and Clatterford Tuition Centres.

LettersThe paper, “seeks permission to undertake statutory consultation on the relocation and reconfiguring of alternative provision, currently based at Thompson House and Clatterford Tuition Centres and the relocation of a number of SEN, Early Years and other statutory support services to the same two new sites.”

The Proposals
Thompson House offers provision for children and young people with SEN and disability and for those without a mainstream school place, whereas, Clatterford Tuition Centre offers alternative provision for students of secondary age who are without a school place because of exclusion.

The consultation constitutes the first stage of a two part consultation. It’s intended to run for a six weeks, from 30 April to 11 June 2012.

Two former school sites are being proposed for the new locations in Berry Hill, Sandown (Broadlea Primary School) and Love Lane, Cowes (Somerton Middle School).
