People Matter IW charts new path focusing on personal assistant recruitment

Last updated:

People Matter IW, the popular Island social care-focused charity, has announced new plans for its future direction following a strategic refocus.

The charity’s Trustees decided last autumn that it would not seek to pursue further funding from the Isle of Wight council for its previous User Led Organisation activities upon the expiration of the current contract at the end of March 2024.

Focus on ‘PARES’
This will allow the organisation to focus on its Personal Assistant Recruitment and Employment Service – ‘PARES’ as the engine for its future along with specialist work for adults with a learning disability, autistic people and adults with ADHD.

People Matter IW’s Manager, Terri Baker, said,

“Although our funding model will change, People Matter IW will continue to provide reliable advice and a highly professional, quality service to those in need of support on the Island.”
