The Ryde Business Association (RBA) has successfully worked with Wightlink to negotiate a whopping 34% discount for scooters that come to the Isle of Wight during the 23 Aug – 26 Aug 2014 weekend bank holiday weekend.
The discount is designed to tie in with the 34th year of the Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally.
In the past, some dissenting voices in the scooterist community have complained that they felt that scooters were charged a disproportionately high ferry price.

Joseph Kohn, Chair of the RBA said,
“The RBA would like to thank Wightlink for this gesture to mark the 34th year of the Scooter Rally.
“It shows their continued commitment to Island commerce, bringing people over to spend their money with Isle of Wight businesses – Bank holidays are not a time they need to offer price reductions.”
