DW Promotions who brought the incredible Fleetwood Mac Tribute to the Medina Theatre last month is bringing their next act to the Theatre in the form of a tribute to Rod Stewart & The Faces on Friday 8th April 2011.
The voice, the look, the charisma -Paul Metcalfe’s Rod Stewart Tribute Show has it all! With his amazing 5-piece live band Paul’s Tribute to Rod is as close as you’ll get to the real thing.
Five-piece band support
Paul is the finest Rod Stewart sound-alike in the country. It’s hard to get a cigarette paper between Paul and Rod’s vocals. His dynamic stage presence and awesome vocal ability make for a show which is both very authentic and very entertaining.
His band are all highly experienced and talented musicians who have an impressive string of credits between them including The Blow Monkeys, Chris De Burgh (three of the band are fully paid up members of his band), George Michael, Shirley Bassey, Midge Ure, Dina Carroll, Heatwave and Curtis Mayfield.
Paul’s Tribute to Rod covers the various sartorial eras of Rod’s career – the sharp suits, the flamboyant jackets, the colourful shirts and drainpipe trousers – even the leopard-skin tights!
With a career spanning over 40 years Rod has given Paul and the band a fantastic choice of material to choose from.
Variety of classics
Needless to say they perform all the massive hits in the show. Rousing dance floor fillers like Maggie May, Da Ya Think I’m Sexy and Baby Jane sit side by side with classic ballads like Sailing, Tonight’s The Night, Handbags & Gladrags and You’re In My Heart.
They also include a few booze-soaked favourites from the days when Rod was with The Faces.
