Cowes Rotary members spent Saturday 16th November collecting in Cowes High Street for disaster relief after the typhoon in the Philippines.

The collection buckets rendered £819.91 and other donations including £40 from the Cowes Interact Club and £1,000 from Cowes Rotary Club funds amounted to a total of £1,909.91 so far.

Disaster relief boxes
This money has gone towards disaster relief boxes and water aid boxes, some of which are already in use in the most devastated areas.

Disaster boxes contain much that is required in the circumstances including secure family tents and equipment, and Aquaboxes provide means of providing clean drinking water.
