The review sums up it positive points as “The sense of a confident well-run establishment that is proudly traditional but recognises that guests now want good food and family-friendly facilities.”

The food is selected as a highlight, “Our Sunday lunch went well beyond the usual roast (excellent), with choices such as pan-fried sea bass with fennel risotto and asparagus.”

Good work for all those working there. Anyone who has eaten there will know that the food is fabulous, prepared by Head chef Alan Staley and his team.
