The footbridge that goes over the railway line in Ryde is due to be shut for eight weeks for repairs VentnorBlog has learned.
The start date of the works was originally intended to be 26 September, but VB understands this has been put back by at least two weeks.
We’re checking with the Isle of Wight council, who are requesting the repairs, to find the exact timings.
Alternative arrangements
Those who use the footbridge to get between the train or bus station and either the Hover or Ice staking rink will have to detour up the path beside the railway, past the bridge (as shown below) to get around.
