Given the Met Office’s weather warning for heavy rain later today, the Isle of Wight council have made sandbags available in areas prone to flooding.
You can pick them up from Strand/Westhill Road, Ryde, Pitts Lane, Binstead and Moa Place, Freshwater.
According to the council, “They are available to the general public, but obviously we would urge people to use them responsibly.”
