Shape the future of arts and heritage: Apply to be Creative Island’s new Communications Manager

Creative Island, the Cultural Development Agency for the Isle of Wight, shares news of an exciting opportunity for the right person.

The organisation, which was awarded National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) status last year by Arts Council England, is committed to ensuring everyone on the Island has the greatest chance to participate in, enjoy and shape the place they live.

Seeking a Communications Manager
The team of three at Creative Island (more about them here) is looking to expand, and this week have opened applications for the new role of Communications Manager.

If you’re someone who is passionate about heritage and creativity and can deftly shape communication strategies, this could be the role for you.

What’s involved
You’ll be responsible for as developing and implementing a communication strategy that raises the profile of the Island’s cultural and heritage sectors.

You’ll be managing the design, content and production of all marketing materials, and as well as overseeing the organisation’s social media platforms, you’ll be expected to produce reports to evaluate the impact and reach of communications.

A confident communicator
You’ll need to be a confident communicator and presenter, with extensive knowledge of current digital and social media trends, and ideally possess contacts within the arts, cultural, and heritage media.

If you have strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, as well as design capabilities and is self-motivated, but enjoys working as part of a small team, this could be the role for you.
