Sholpan, born 1982 began studying the piano at the age of four, won a “Bolashak” Presidential Scholarship of Kazakhstan enabling her to pursue her post-graduate studies at London’s Royal Academy of Music, under the guidance of pianist Hamish Milne, she graduated with “Honours” from the Gnessin State Academy of Music in Moscow, where she studied with Professor Grigory Gordon.
She is currently a soloist with the Astana State Philharmonic in Kazakhstan; she is also an avid chamber musician. Sholpan has performed throughout Europe, her concert at Quay Arts will include classics such as Bach and Schumann.
