Skydiving skateboarding coaches hope to raise £2,000 for Isle of Wight not-for-profit organisation

John Cattle’s Skate Club (JCSC) is a not-for-profit organisation that runs skateboarding lessons for all ages and abilities on the Isle of Wight.

All the money that’s made goes straight back into the club, so the JCSC team can keep on doing what they love, teaching others about the joys of skateboarding.

Thompson: Things have been a bit more challenging than we would like
As you might imagine, things have not been easy over the last couple of years. Zoe Thompson from JCSC explains,

“We have got to the point where due to the knock-on impact of the last couple of years, our funding reserves are at an all time low.

“This is making things a bit more challenging than we would like.”

Skydive for skateboarding
So to try and raise some much-needed extra cash, two of the club’s skate coaches, Toby and Sean, are going to jump out of a plane next month.

John Cattle says,

“It’s not really how they would love to spend their day, but needs must! They would feel much better about the idea if we can raise £2,000!”

Please donate if you can
At time of publishing the crowdfunding campaign – which only launched over the weekend – had raised 45 per cent of the target, with £905 already donated.

John added,

“So if you can help us out, then please donate. We know it is really tough times for everyone, so if you can’t donate yourself then spread the word. Any help is really appreciated.”

If you’d like to show your support head over to the Just Giving page.

Toby and Sean are due to jump on 9th August and we’ll update you when they do.
