Remember the VB story about Southampton FC not letting newspapers take their own photos at matches?
In response, one paper, The Plymouth Herald, had used a series of cartoons to illustrate their match report.
Well now, another paper, the Swindon Advertiser, have come up with their own novel solution – by using Subbuteo players to show the action.
At the same time, they’ve devoted an editorial to criticising the football club ending it, “… regardless of their history – when a club in the third tier of English football starts talking about image rights then you know something is drastically wrong with the game we all know and love.”
As Stoke-on-Trent-based Hyperlocal hero @mike_rawlins Tweeted, “When will Southampton FC realise they just look stupid?”
